URI INTERNATIONAL PEACE RESEARCH INSTITUTE

URI International Peace Research Institute was inaugurated at Karickam, Kerala on 27th August, 2011 jointly by His Holiness Chaturvedi Swamiji (President, Ramanuja Mission Trust) and Rev. Canon. Dr. Charles Gibbs (Executive Director, United Religions Initiative). Luminaries who attended the auspicious function were Dame Dr. Meher Master Moos (President, Zoroastrian College, Mumbai), Justice P.K Shamsuddin (President, World Fellowship of Inter-religious Councils), Fr. Albert Nambiar Parampil (Secretary general (WFIRC), Rev. Dr. M. J. Joseph (Former Director, ECC, Bangalore), Dr. J. Prameeladevi, Jiji P. Mathew, Prof. John Kurakkar, Dr. Samuel Nellikkadu and others.

IPRI will concentrate on two major research projects:

1. Monitoring Wars, Conflicts and Military Spending around the world

2. Peace Inititives that are going on in different regions- Alternatives for wars.

IT will support URI Traveling Peace Academy in all its peace building activities that are going on in different corners of the world
